“When I hit these little pockets of Filipino communities and I meet fans who have listened to me for so long, it just feels really special that I’m able to be here,” Rafael told Slice of Culture.
“And I thank God to be living… I’m thankful for you, to see y’all [and] for having me to do this [interview],” said the New Jersey resident.
“[And] it’s very easy to tell the state assembly to pass a law. It’s harder to actually do the work. And so I would just ask those folks, please lean in, please get involved.”
