All positions are unpaid at this time, but may be negotiated to count towards college credit.
SOC Open Positions
SOC Writer
Job type: Internship or Part-time
Average hours: 20 per week
Responsibilities:
- Write at least two articles (or listicles) per month, based on a pitch that’s been approved by editors.
- Have an interest in Hudson County food, lifestyle, and/or diversity or looking at different cultures, in general.
- Ability to write up any relevant breaking news.
- No experience required! Will provide training if needed.

SOC Photographer
Job type: Internship or Part-time
Average hours: 20 per week
Responsibilities:
- Ability to do assignments given by editors.
- Communicating with writers to see what photos they need.
- Submit photos to appropriate persons.
- Managing photographer sessions.
- Experience required.

SOC Graphic Designer
Job type: Internship or Part-time
Average hours: 20 per week
Responsibilities:
- Ability to do assignments individually and given by editors.
- Creating stand alone visual concepts and also for writers when needed.
- Collaborate with photographers and/or writers when needed.
- Create creative content utilizing Photoshop, Canva, or other creative tools.
- Experience required.
