Summer camp opportunities are available for Hudson County youth where they can play tennis, soccer and more this week in the Hudson County sports roundup!
Kick, Strike And Score With Jersey City Summer Soccer Program
There’s still time to enroll in the Shoot 4 The Stars Recreation Summer Soccer Program at Martucci Field. The program is open to all boys and girls ages 12 to 15.
The program runs every Tuesday and Thursday from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. starting this Tuesday, July 8 through Aug. 14.
Participants will learn and enjoy the game of soccer in a fun, safe environment.

All coaches are licensed, certified and will instruct children in the basics of the “beautiful game” in a non-competitive setting.

Serve It Up At This Summer Tennis Program
Kids ages 11 to 14 can score an ace at this Beginners Tennis Summer Program located at the Berry Lane Park Tennis Courts.
Registration is available for both the Monday program and Tuesday program, both from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Kids will be introduced to the fundamentals of tennis through games and drills designed to build a solid foundation for tennis and athletic development, in a friendly environment.

Led by experienced Baseline Tennis instructors, the program will follow USTA suggested junior development pathway and will use various types of tennis balls (red, orange, green and yellow) depending on players age and skill level.
The Monday program begins this Monday, July 7 and runs through Aug. 11. The Tuesday program begins this Tuesday, July 8 and runs through Aug. 12.

Run Don’t Walk! To These 2025 Summer Track Programs
If you’re interested in running track this summer then this summer track program is for you.
The program, which is available for kids ages 5 to 14, will be trained by experienced coaches. The introductory track program that will show kids the building blocks of track events. All athletes will learn fundamental skills in track and will be encouraged to develop their key motor skills, including balance, muscle control and kinetic development.

This is through proper running form, dynamic flexible warm-ups, race start techniques, racing strategies and more.
Here are the options:
Boys and girls ages 10-14:
- Mondays and Wednesdays from July 7 through Aug. 13.
- Tuesdays and Thursdays from July 8 through Aug. 14.
Boys and girls ages 5-9
- Mondays and Wednesdays from July 7 through Aug. 13.
- Tuesdays and Thursdays from July 8 through Aug. 14.

The program will be in the Lincoln Park Track, located at West Side Avenue Jersey City, NJ 07304. The track is located on the opposite side of the West Side Avenue entrance.

Swing Into The Battle Of The Municipalities Softball Tournament
The Jersey City Puerto Rican Heritage, Arts and Culture Youth Ambassadors announced their second annual Battle of the Municipalities Softball Tournament.

The tournament will be taking place on Saturday, Aug. 9 at 9 a.m. at the Caven Point Softball Field. Check in starts at 8 a.m.
Teams must have 10 to 12 players who are 16 years old and up.
You can choose the city you represent in Puerto Rico (Aibonito, Coamo, San Juan, etc.) gather your squad and bring the heat on the field.
