A new coffee shop hoping to bring authentic Italian flavors to Hudson County has opened in Bayonne.
After being in the works for two years, Lavaccino Cafe officially opened its doors earlier this year at 1 Flagship Street, serving its customers seven days a week.
Their menu offers a variety of drinks including lattes, macchiatos, matcha, hot chocolate and Lavazza coffee, which is an Italian brand.
Lavaccino serves a wide range of bagels, sandwiches, and pastries, which are made fresh daily.
Dessert is also a major part of the menu as the cafe serves Italian gelato, as well as imported cakes including tiramisu, red velvet, chocolate mousse and many more.
While the shop opened its doors in March, an official grand opening event is currently being planned for mid August, which will include promotions and giveaways.
Throughout the journey, the owners have been very grateful to the welcoming Bayonne community.
“The location is great, the view is phenomenal,” said the owner. “It was just a great fit for what we needed to do, and it’s amazing serving the Bayonne community.”
There are big plans in the making at Lavaccino, as the owners hope to expand to other locations in the near future and potentially franchise the business out.
“But we are going to keep that a surprise.”
