“We are a nation of immigrants and diversity is one of the strengths of this country,” said Jerome Choice, a long-time Jersey City resident and local Hudson County historian.
“This is a day-to-day situation, We are in frequent contact with our federal delegation who provide us with constant updates on these issues,” said Hudson County spokesperson Cygan.
Aside from Mayor Fulop’s address, not many cameras or videos were rolling, instead, a group of residents held up different signs: “Enforce Chapter 260” and “Enforce Rent Control,” which has been going on for years.
“It’s really important that we hear everybody, that we make [Liberty State Park] a place that speaks to everyone,” said Shawn LaTourette.
Slice of Culture spoke to several residents in Hudson County who are feeling uneasy.
