Want To Be A Part Of The Bayonne Turkey Trot This Year?

Before getting a belly full of turkey, you can kick off your Thanksgiving morning with a mix of fun, fitness and community spirit at the annual third Bayonne Turkey Day 5K at Bayonne County Park (Stephen R. Gregg Park), located at 930 John F. Kennedy Boulevard.

You can expect:

  • A scenic 5K route through the park!
  • Finisher shirts for all runners! 
  • Thanksgiving-themed photo ops
  • Family-friendly environment—walkers and strollers welcome!

The race takes place at 10 a.m. and the fee is $40. You can register here by or before Thursday, Nov. 27.

Glide, Spin And Jump At Secaucus’s Public Skate Sessions This Thanksgiving

You can still enjoy a skate on the Secaucus ice rink over Thanksgiving break! Public skate admission is $3, while skate rental is $2.

  • Wednesday, Nov 26:  1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, Nov. 27: Closed
  • Friday, Nov. 28 to  Saturday, Nov. 29: 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, Nov. 30: 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. 

Interested In Playing Basketball In Kearny? There’s Still Time To Register 

Kearny Recreation Youth basketball registration is now open for second grade up to eighth grade at the Kearny Recreation Department. Those interested in playing can register from Monday to Friday up until Nov. 28. The fee to play is $50. 

Your child must be able to commit to attending all practices and games. No special requests will be accepted for team placement like specific teams, players, or coaches.

Here is a list of divisions and tentative practice/game schedules:

  • 2nd Grade: Weeknight practices at 6 p.m.; Saturday games 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • 3rd–4th Grade Boys: Weeknight practices at 6 p.m. or 7 p.m.; Saturday morning games
  • 3rd–5th Grade Girls: Weeknight practices; Monday evening games
  • 5th–6th Grade Boys: Weeknight practices; Wednesday or Thursday evening games
  • 6th–8th Grade Girls: Saturday practices; Tuesday evening games
  • 7th–8th Grade Boys: Weeknight practices; Friday evening games

Birth certificate and proof of residency must be provided at the time of registration. You can register here

Looking To Play Baseball This Winter In Guttenberg? Then This Is For You!

Registration is now open for the Guttenberg Department of Recreation’s Winter Baseball Workouts. Registration is free for all!

The program is for ages 7 to 12 and will start on Dec. 6 through Feb. 28, 2026 from 9:30 a.m to 11:30 a.m. at the Guttenberg Community Center’s downstairs gym.

Dribble, Dunk And Shoot At This Hoboken Adult Basketball League 

An Adult Basketball League is coming to Hoboken.

The season runs every three months with a customized game schedule. The next season begins the week of Jan. 11, 2026 and ends Mar. 19, 2026.

The court locations are:

  • Hoboken Catholic Academy (555 7th Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030)
  • Hoboken High School (900 Clinton Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030)
  • Damon Murray Community Gym (605 Jackson Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030)

Game days will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Harrison Girls Soccer Concludes Their Triumphant Season 

The Harrison Blue Tide Girls Soccer team’s season finally comes to end after an explosive run.

The team posted a 14-4-1 record for the season and hit many milestones. 

They reached the semifinals of the Hudson County Tournament, and made it to the quarterfinals of the North Jersey Sec 2 State Tournament.
