“I will work my heart [and] my head for Jersey City. I will give the full measure of my being to make sure it’s a city that works,” McGreevey said.
“You can be the people who graduate and serve our people. You don’t have to be someone who’s from out of town to come here and leave. You can be growing up in this community, in our system and come back full circle to be the person in leadership.”
“I can bring the fact that I’ve lived here all my life and [my] wisdom comes from experience. I’ve had triumph, I’ve had tragedy,” Bill O’Dea said. “… We used to say the time is now, [but] now we say it’s now or never.”
