If you are craving a new kind of treat in Hudson County, you can look no further than GZ Sweets. All you have to do is travel to Bayonne.
GZ Sweets—also known as Zero Guilt Sweets—serves iced coffee and smoothies, but they are best known for their fluffy cream rolls, which are dessert filled crepes made fresh every day.
Owners, Rancis and Inna, set out to start a dessert shop that was unique and served items that you couldn’t get anywhere else in the area. After months of research, they took their main influence from Southeast Asian Crepe Cakes.
“We made our own version and found a way to Westernise them with popular toppings,” Rancis told Slice of Culture.
Flavors include fruit toppings like strawberry, mango and banana, as well as sweeter options such as cookies and cream, chocolate pudding and caramel.
The fluffy rolls are made with their own whipped topping base as opposed to heavy whipped cream, which makes them more airy, light and lower on calories.
“Our fluffy rolls have fruit options all the way to cookies and ice cream,” Rancis added.
“We have light options, heavy options and in between. We really want to cater for everyone.”

Since opening, some of their best sellers have been their Cookies and Cream roll, as well as the recently added Dubai Chocolate Roll.
According to Rancis, the community has also been great to their shop.
“It’s been very accepting, and in a short period of time we have gathered a very loyal customer base and we’re still growing,” he said.
Since their opening in March of 2025, their menu has more than doubled in size, and they are always looking for new ideas to expand their menu further.
“It is an ongoing process, and we are always playing around with the menu,” Rancis said.
They are currently serving a special Spring menu which includes Blueberry Cheesecake, Dubai Cookie Butter and Hazelnut Crunch rolls. New summer items will be coming in June.
