Do You Wanna Come Out And Play Volleyball In Guttenberg?
Gutenberg Recreation announced that there will be an Adult Volleyball Open Gym in Guttenberg on Wednesdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The open gym is free for all Guttenberg residents and $5 per session for non-residents. You can pay via Mastercard or VISA only and must bring proof of residency if you reside in Guttenberg.
To register, you must do it in-person at the Drasheff Community Center located at 301 69th Street, which is also where the league will take place.
This Jersey City School Built A Mini Soccer Pitch Just In Time For The World Cup
Hudson County and the entire state of New Jersey can feel the FIFA World Cup buzz in the air!
Joseph H. Brensinger School, P.S. 17 students were proud to welcome a brand new “mini” soccer pitch that was built for them ahead of the FIFA World Cup this summer.
The soccer pitch is part of a larger effort to bring the game to thousands of kids by the U.S. Soccer Foundation and.
School Principal Dr. Robert Brower applauded the efforts of the FIFA World Cup 2026 New York New Jersey Host Committee putting the pitch on school property.
“It means everything for the kids. Very rarely in inner city’s, do you see something like this,” Dr. Brower stated.
Gear Up For The World Cup With These Fan Hubs
The NY/NJ World Cup 26 Fan Hubs will be located at Sports Illustrated Stadium and will serve as the NYNJ Host Committee’s official New Jersey fan experience throughout the duration of the FIFA World Cup™ tournament on select dates.
The site will feature:
- Live match viewings
- Immersive fan experiences
- Cultural programming
- Musical performances
The NY/NJ World Cup 26 Jersey Fan Hub will allow fans to watch matches on the stadium floor through a 60” screen on the field.
The Hype House, which opened earlier this month, will feature 20 large screen TVs, a 360-degree bar and a built-in stage for musical performances and appearances.
