Liberty Humane Society sheltered Jersey City’s cats and dogs for nearly 20 years at its Boulevard location until the city took over management this year.

Despite the accomplishments, Williams said he tries not to brag too much and acknowledged that his upbringing and current reality are a “blessing.”
