Harrison Offering Free Youth Soccer Summer Camp
The Harrison Recreation Boys & Girls Soccer Summer Camp 2026 is open for registration!
Open to kids in grades 1 to 6, the athletes can learn the fundamentals of soccer, play and make new friends.
There are only 60 spots available per age group and registration closes on Sunday, June 21. It will start on Monday, June 29 and end on Thursday, July 30.

Hit A Homerun! West New York Youth Softball Clinic Now Open
Registration for West New York’s Division of Recreation`s Summer Softball Clinic is now open for WNY residents between the ages of 7 to 17.
The clinic runs from Aug. 3 through Sept. 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Those interested are encouraged to register quickly, which you can do here: wnyrec.recdesk.com/community/home.

Take A Swing In Weehawken For Youth Baseball Or Softball
There are still spots open to play baseball or softball in Weehawken for children ages 7 to 15.
The baseball camp for boys and girls, ages 7 to 15, will run from Monday, June 29 to Friday, July 10.
Weehawken’s girls’ softball clinic is available for ages 13 to 15 and is listed to run from July 14 to 23.

Looking For World Cup Events? Jersey City Is Hosting Two Watch Parties!
The World Cup officially kicked off this past Thursday, and if you didn’t secure tickets, don’t worry, Jersey City’s got you covered with watch parties and more activities on Saturday, June 27 and Saturday, July 11 at the Newark Avenue Pedestrian Plaza.
The Historic Downtown Special Improvement District team is lighting up the block for the World Cup with two 17 foot jumbotrons, over 50 vendors and three bars. Grace O’Malleys is hosting the event, which will feature Legends FC and Keyhole.

The watch parties will start at 3 p.m. and go until 10 p.m. You can enjoy two group stage and quarterfinal matches!
This Jersey City Restaurant Is Having A World Cup Raffle
No Forks Given, located at 115 Brunswick Street, in Jersey City is having a World Cup raffle!
When purchasing $50 or more, you can enter a raffle to win a 2026 FIFA World Cup ball and a $25 gift card to No Forks Given!
The raffle is only available for in-store purchasing and is not eligible for delivery.
The deadline to join in on the raffle is Saturday, June 27.
Two Harrison High School Coaches Honored With Coach Of The Year Awards
Harrison High School’s Boy’s volleyball coach, Anthony Sabia, was crowned back-to-back NJIC- National Division Coach Of The Year.
“We can always count on Anthony to have our players prepared and focused, we always have a shot against anyone because Anthony is always going to out-coach them. Harrison is extremely lucky to add another league championship to his resume after this year,” an Instagram post posted by Harrison Athletics said.
Coach Nankivell, who is the Blue Tides flag football coach, was also honored by the NJIC South with Coach Of The Year recognition.
Harrison’s flag football team is one of only four teams left in the state still playing.
