Now, nearly eight decades later, Los Angeles Dodgers’ two-way player Shohei Ohtani has captivated the world in a similar way, but this time for Asians and Asian Americans.
The 10-time All-Star selection player, David Ortiz, is now the fourth Dominican born player to be elected to the HOF, joining Juan Marichal, Vladimir Guerrero and mentor Pedro Martinez.
What makes Ohtani so special and unique is his play style, which has been compared to New York Yankees legend Babe Ruth, regarded by some to be baseball’s greatest of all-time.
