The Meeting To Determine The $40 Million Pompidou Loan Canceled

The Jersey City Redevelopment Agency (JCRA) Board of Commissioners was not in attendance Friday morning to vote on a proposed $40 million bridge loan to finance construction of the Centre Pompidou x Jersey City.

Diana Jeffrey, Executive Director, and Shoshana Schiff, one of the JCRA’s attorneys, said the board’s special meeting legally did not have enough members in attendance to act on agency business. There was no reason provided for the commissioners’ no-show.

The proposal also included agreements for the JCRA to officially acquire the future Pompidou space.
