Bayonne Little League Hits Yankee Field
Last week, the New York Yankees welcomed the Bayonne Little League onto the field following their historic run in the 2026 Little League World Series.
“We are excited to welcome the 2026 Little League Metro Champions from Bayonne, New Jersey – Bayonne Central Little League!” the Yankees wrote on Facebook.
“After winning Bayonne’s first state title on their 75th anniversary, the team captivated the tri-state area as they represented the metro region in Williamsport for the Little League World Series.”
The Bees got a warm homecoming last month after becoming the New Jersey Little League State Champions, and a headturning winning streak, which was eventually snapped by the Midwest Region.
Memorial High School Defeats Kearny For First Time In Over A Decade!
The Memorial Tigers boys soccer team beat the Kearny Cardinals for the first time in 13 years on Sept. 22. The Tigers came out victorious winning 1-0.
The Tigers currently hold a 5-3 record and are currently on a winning streak. They kick off next against Union City tomorrow, Sept. 28 at 4:30 p.m.
The Fall Buddy Baseball Schedule Is Here!
The Fall Buddy Baseball program is back!
The program returns on Sundays until Nov. 15. It’ll happen from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at College Little League Field, located at 28 Sycamore Road in the Country Village area of Jersey City.

Jersey City Announces Swimming For Seniors
There will be senior swim at Pershing Pool on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Swimming for seniors will run now through Dec. 10 at 201 Central Avenue.
The open swim is free and ID is required! You are asked to bring a towel, swimsuit and a lock.
Harrison Was Honored For Its World Cup Efforts
Harrison Mayor James A. Fife recently honored the town of Harrison departments and supporting agencies of the New Jersey World Cup at the Sports Illustrated Stadium.
Sports Illustrated Stadium was designated the official FIFA Fan Zone for the New Jersey/New York region. The stadium hosted the NYNJ World Cup 26 Jersey Fan Hub from June 11 through July 19.
