Sen. Bob Menendez held a press conference today in Union City following the allegations that he took bribery worth hundred of thousand of dollars.

He pointed out that he will not be stepping down as senator and is expecting to still have the trust of NJ residents after doing a lot for the community.

WNY resident Marvin Alas acknowledges the senator’s commitment to the community but doesn’t know if that will be enough to keep voters.

“I think the most iconic Superman stories are the ones that focus on the character element of Superman,” David Acosta, manager of @manifestcomics, told Slice of Culture.

“[The stories] about him just trying to do good and trying as hard as he can and sometimes that isn’t enough. I think that can relate to everybody in the world who wants to do their best and sometimes they feel like that isn’t enough. Even though he’s physically not someone you can relate to because he has hardly any physical weaknesses, emotionally and character-wise, I think he’s the most relatable [character].”

“My Adventures With Superman” will be getting a second season, which was confirmed twice.

On Friday morning, NJ Senator Bob Menendez & his wife Nadine Menendez were indicted for bribery charges to help enrich three NJ businessmen — Wael Hana, Jose Uribe, and Fred Daibes. The three have also been indicted on charges.

Since the news broke, NJ Governor Phil Murphy has called for the senator’s resignation with many politicians backing him up.

Rep. Mikie Sherrill called it “a sad day for New Jersey” on a post on X.

Despite what is being said, Sen. Menendez is deciding to fight back on the allegations stating, “Those who believe in justice believe in innocence until proven guilty. I intend to continue to fight for the people of New Jersey with the same success I’ve had for the past five decades. This is the same record of success these very same leaders have lauded all along. It is not lost on me how quickly some are rushing to judge a Latino and push him out of his seat. I am not going anywhere.”

Salvadorans 🇸🇻 celebrated their independence and culture with a parade filled with colorful floats, elaborate costumes, and music. The parade occurred on Sunday which ran through Bergenline Avenue from Braddock Park in North Bergen to 43rd Street in Union City.

Bergen Square is made of four blocks between Vroom and Newkirk Streets in Jersey City, and has been dubbed as the first urban square established by Lenni Lenape. Its culture and history was celebrated for the fourth consecutive year on Saturday, Sept. 16.

The relatively new fall tradition honors the historic Jersey City neighborhood with music, food and many local vendors. The event has been recognized as a great way for community members and local businesses to become acquainted with each other and further expand the local economy while also furthering their relationships with one another.

Hudson County will never forget Sept. 11, 2001.

Nearly 3,000 people died during the attacks on the World Trade Center’s Twin Towers, the pentagon and Flight 93, which crashed in Pennsylvania.

A few of Hudson County’s towns provided aid and assistance during the tragedy. Swipe left to see the memorials throughout the county.
